Canon SX40HS vs Canon 550D - HD video quality

I´ve been piling up excuses to go for the 550D but then I saw the SX40HS which is a much easier and justifiably buy when it come to price. I know it is a bridge, not a real DSLR, but I´ve been trying to find out if it would do the trick when it comes to HD videos which is my main reason for my purchase. (70% video, 30% photo)

When I see 550D test videos on youtube, especially that Budapest video, I get this.."ahhhhh" feeling. The quality is like watching a TV show or even a film.

When I see the SX40 HS test videos on youtube, I see good quality video but I dont get that "ahhhh" TV/Film feeling. It just looks like a good home video camera. (though there are some test videos are much better than others online)

My questions:

1) How much of a difference can I expect when it comes to their HD video quality?

Is the difference in quality of these test videos mainly because one camera is DSLR and the other a bridge...

OR

is it the case that the main reason is a pro cameraman and post-production when it comes to the 550D?

2) Is the standard lens of the 550D to limiting? Do I NEED another lense kit for it? (meaning then the price of it goes through the roof) How many value-points should I give to that superzoom lens of the SX40HS?

3) This is what I am afraid of... is the 550D that much better than the SX40HS that I will be wanting to upgrade a week after buying the SX40HS?

Thanx in advance!
