7D firing twice when shutter pressed half way, anyone else?

I really don't understand how any of this could be caused by anything except user error. The drive mode isn't wrong; that's like blaming a gun set to automatic for firing multiple rounds when the trigger is pulled. What makes you think he's not using the 'wrong' drive mode, he hasn't said which he uses.

Yet he mentions One Shot mode as if this is the drive mode, so unless he can confirm that he's in single-shooting mode we're going to assume that most likely is that he's in high-speed drive mode and is pressing too hard on the shutter release...
