best zeiss lens for cat photography?
something better than this
18-55mm nikkor non VR
I'd stick with a auto focus lens but since you asked for the best, there is no best..here's a little assortment to think about and I'm sure many other cameras/lens combos will do just fine, even your 18-55mm VR should do the trick given the right scenario..here's one with the Zeiss Distagon 21mm, I had to get pretty close, would I get one for just cats? Noooo, I have the 25mm f2.8 Biogon, 35mm f2, 50mm Macro Planar, 85mm f1.4, all will work but again, would I get just one for cats...noooo but you do with what ya got and make it work..I'd go with a fast auto focus mid range zoom personally and get into Zeiss for other scenarios unless cost isn't a factor but your limited with fixed focal length manual focus stuff..
Nikon 24-70mm f2.8
Hell there's even P&S's that will do the trick...
Go for a fast midrange zoom auto focus you can use on just not cats would be my suggestion..
