Sharpening for poster sized canvas

Hi Guys,

I’ve just been given a voucher for having a pic printed onto a 100cm x 75cm canvas, but it expires within a week! Since time is of the essence I don’t have much time to experiment and learn what I need to know, so I need some advice please.

The photo I am considering was taken with a 350d. I will probably have to PP it so that sharpening etc. will look good at this size. I have DPP to process the RAW and PS Elements 6 (I think) to sharpen the subsequent JPG with. I never use photoshop so can I get away with sharpening in DPP or would it be better to do that in Elements?

If I do need to use PS, any workflow hints on resizing and sharpening will be very gratefully received.

Thanks,
Ash
