in the course of answering a post on that thread I weighed my kit and could not believe just hoe light it is:

"sure thing, I have the following lenses at the moment, (in 35mm equivalent focal lengths)
7,5mm f3.5 fisheye
14-28mm f4
24mm f2
50mm f1.4
90mm f1.8
150-600mm f4.8-6.7
OMD EM5
total weight = 1.96 kilos including the grip and battery:)"

of course it will go up when the 75 and the 12-35 gets added:)

My answer to this is that the lenses you uses mostly, say 24-35-85 are really not that heavy with a FF system if you stick to speeds of 1.8 to 2.8. If we get a smaller cheaper FF body like the rumored Nikon D600 you can get such a system at very acceptable weight.

and then lenses like those are usually (but not always) less than the best quality FF can use, and the reduced apertures offer less advantage over mFT.

really i cant for the life of me see what is so difficult about the concept of mFT being the lighter kit choice, and it doesnt require an an exposition of FF contortionists to make that any less real...
