Using a Panasonic 12-35 f/2.8 on an OMD E-M5
Somewhere in the last few weeks I read that distortion correction happens whether you use the 12-35 f/2.8 on a Pany or on an Oly body. I believed at the time I read the review that the reviewer had made a mistake by saying that.
Can any of you technically minded folks out there in 4/3 land confirm or deny the validity of such a statement? I've always thought that the propietary software in the manufacturer's camera bodies was the key element in controlling some image qualities when shooting jpg. (for shooting raw, which I do, it doesn't really matter but I'm curious).
I own the OM-D and plan to purchase the Pany 12-35 when it becomes available. I do not believe, however, that the Oly body will correct distortion on the Pany lens. Some thoughts?
