Is it "Most owners do not have the problem" or "Most owners do not experience the problem" ? Those reporting the problem seem to be observing it when using fast wide angle prime lenses. If you are mot using such lenses it may be that you'd not observe the problem even if your camera had it.

I'm aware of field curvature on such lenses. But field curvature is one of the very reasons you might want to use one of the outer focus points rather than using the centre point and re-framing.
