lens resolution

Any lens has the most resolution at the center and the resolution drops from the center towards the edge. The far focus points will not look quite as sharp as the center point. To me, its best to not use the far focus points most of the time. In my opinion most of the defective cameras mentioned in these threads are not defective. A camera is not a scientific instrument and should be used as a tool with the operator knowing its shortcomings and a good photographer will work around them.
