Konica Hexanon 40mm f1.8

As I type this response the Hexanon 40 f1.8 lens is sitting right beside me. Makes me laugh that folks think it is a big deal that Samyang is manual focus only, which of course the Hexanon lenses were, setting the f stop on the lens as Samyang now does.

Canon has just come out with the new pancake 40mm f2.8 and I can't help but wonder why they didn't go to f1.8 like the hexanon is. By the way, the Hexanon is an all metal body with depth of field on it. I have the Canon 50mm f1.8 mk 1 version, which is much better than the mk 2 version, the Hexanon 40 reminds me of the Canon mk 1 50mm.

The T3 was a great camera for the photographically challenged, such as I was.
