Re: NX20 Freezing (not the lock up issue)
I think all this battery talk and clean card slot is the sort of red herrings that companies put out when they know the real problem but cannot admit it and like to make the customer think they are doing something wrong. The problem is probably poor firmware testing and it is just full of bugs. The fact that the new version has the same version number really shows the quality control standards being applied. I think these firmware updates are just code and release, I doubt if there is much rigorous testing going on. Samsung made their fortune selling disposable goods so keeping a continuous product line going is bound to be a steep learning curve for them and they may not be up to it. I think being in NX you have to accept that you are in a bit of an experiment which might not work in the end. Just because a corporation says it is going to carry out a plan does not mean that it will or can do this. Samsung are already way behind the market penetration thet promised in the earlier stages of NX.
For all Samsung's wealth the budgets in the NX project may be very tight and there may not be a buy in at all levels of the organisation that the project is viable or worthwhile. The rumoured cancellation of the 16-80 shows that all may not be well and all this nonsense about waiting 3 months for an announcement at a trade fair seems to be a bit of playing for time to cover up internal confusion about direction and lack of any real news. How many expected EX2 announcements have been and gone. Samsung are looking to me a bit like a fish out of the water in the system camera world.

That is why I recommended that you ensure you battery compartment is clean of dust and other items as that can cause the problem you are talking about. For clarity, my camera was never hot when it locked up and I too had an NX11 that nerver locked up.
