D800 Nude infrared w/Hoya R72

I haven't shot a lot of infrared in a couple of years partially because of what I've heard of the usability of the more recent Nikons using IR however I'm not one to allow what I call "Internet regurgitation".

"Internet regurgitation" ˈintərˌnet r-gûrj-tay'sh'on Def: When people's knowledge is derived from what they read on the Internets and not from their own experience.

Used in a sentence: "I thought I could hammer a nail into my skull as long as it was through my ear but I guess that was just internet regurgitation since I'm dead now."

One of the popular internet photography regurgitations is that "The doesn't work well with infrared filters."

Well, I'm not much for allowing Internet regurgitation to influence what I do so I dusted off the Hoya R72 and went out and tried it myself.
And guess what?
It didn't suck.

Nikon D800, 24-70mm 2.8, 1s, ISO1600, Hoya R72 infrared filter

Please let this be a lesson to us all: Don't allow Internets regurgitation to ruin our knowledge or discourage our experiences!

-BTW the misspelling in this thread is intentional. But for those who don't understand misspelling for the purpose of humour or who have no sense of humour: "Internets" should be "internet" and so on.

-BTW 2: "Internet regurgitation" is a registered term of Dan Harper, any unauthorized use is strictly hilarious.
-BTW 3: This rant brought to you by internet regurgitation.
