T4i/650D and the new Digic 5 processor

The new EOS T4i/650D has a lot of new features, such as 5 FPS shooting rate and 12,800 ISO capability. http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/slr_cameras/eos_rebel_t4i_18_135mm_is_stm_lens_kit#Features Some of the new feature are made possible by the new Digic 5 processor in the camera. The new Digic 5 chip is showing up in the new Powershot G1X as well. There is also a new Digic 5 + which the new 1DX gets two of.

I found this article on the 60D/7D forum which explains the capabilities of the old and new Digic chips and I thought that some here might find the info interesting: http://www.learn.usa.canon.com/resources/articles/2012/digic_processors.shtml

When you get down to the nuts and bolts of photography, the results depend on the 'nut' behind the camera!

See the 'Gear List' in my 'Profile' for my current equipment.
