G1X quality when digitally zooming?

Would a G1X 1.9x digitally zoomed f=112 mm photo be better or worse in quality compared to a "natural" G9 shot at f=210 mm?

How about a 3.75x G1X compared to a G9 shot at f=210 mm plus tele conversion lens to give a f = 420 mm?

I doubt it will be better when taking into consideration the reduced amount of "genuine" pixels, G1X: 14,3 MPix/1.875² = 4 MPix, resp. 14,3 MPix/3.75² = 1 MPix rather than 12.1 MPix of the G9.
