i went to my grandson's ball game this evening and met a woman that shoots team pics. she was using a t1i and the same 18-55 is kit lens that i have on my t3. i hope hers has less barrell distortion than mine!

i talked with her a bit about her camera and she said she had an older rebel with, get this, 1.5 million shots on it with no failures or repairs. i said "wow that's unbelieveable" and congratulated her. but i'm not buying it at all. any other opinions about this?

is this amount of barrell distortion considered acceptable for the kit lens?

I guess it could happen but that is 500 pictures a day, every day, for over 8.2 years. Bet her shutter-pressing finger is sore!
