X-S1 burst significant slowdown after 10 or so images + timings

Thank you for the figures. Made me feel like testing my X-S1 as well. Some will object that I was just testing my card . The card is indeed old stuff, class 4, 15MB/s. More details in the screenshot bellow.

The test also shows that the camera slows down after approx. 10 pictures, as reported by the OP for the HS-30. Things then get much slower. With my slow card, the average gets to approx. 2 shots per second in M size. With small*normal quality, I got 3 shots per second. I guess with M size, Paul got first 10 shots in the first second, and then 3 to 4 shots per second.

Amazingly, the slowdown comes after approx. 10 shots; be it 10 shots in small*normal quality (approx. 800KB each), or 10 shots in medium*fine quality (approx. 2.6MB each). I would have expected a slow-down after a given number of MB worth of images.

PS: No "raw" involved.
