SSD scratch drive in MBP

Partitioning a hard drive does not give the benefit of a scratch disc. A scratch disc (in Photoshop) must be an independent drive. If that were not the case, my current MBP with 750 GB drive would work quite nicely.

In actual fact though, with TB technology, a second SSD drive operating via that connection would work perfectly also.

But having said all that, chances are that Photoshop would run so efficiently on a machine with a SSD that a scratch disc may prove unnecessary. Even so, I would use one as I have found them to be effective in the past.
