I would go for model release also
  • yes, you can probably "get away with it" in most cases. Meaning, as long as you remain an unknown marginal photographer, it's very unlikely that anyone will start causing you trouble - actually people who might want for nice images of them to be spread (such as aspiring models) will only be too happy if you've done a good job

  • but what happens if you become famous, or at least if one of your photographs gains some serious visibility? Exactly. If it's a friend or family member nothing will happen. But if it's a friend of friend of friend with little principles, who knows

Frankly most people will happily sign a model discharge, and you can find models (of the document) on the Internet
