I've Never Had a Problem w/B&H

Although I order from B&H frequently (average of a few thousand $ year, unless its a camera or computer buying year, then way more) I find the service online, phone and particularly in-person to be very variable. Sometimes its fine (as in average, acceptable) and other times awful and occasionally offensive.

I certainly concede that with 100+ people in sales, customer service and LiveChat any one of them can have a bad moment and we're always concerned about such uncharacteristic incidents. One reason I'm here is so people know they have a resource whereby they can let us kow any time an interaction is less than satisfactory in any way at all.

The in-person returns I've done have been uniformly negative experiences. I avoid the actual store now whenever possible.

This is very disconcerting. My email is in my forum profile. Details would help us address this and improve.

They're really just the camera Walmart - and who really wants to shop there for any reason other than the fact that they stock everything?

I'd like to think the distinctions separating us from Walmart are substantial. For one I don't think you can call or go to Walmart and get advice from a pro who has years, if not decades, experience doing the same kind of photography you're now undertaking and who will share advice and opinions based on that experience. YMMV

I too have dealt with B&H for years and have also spent thousands of dollars with them. I have had to return one item only. Yes, there are a few steps you have to go through but they have to protect themselves from fraud, as a good business practice. You the OP should know this.

I challenge the OP to find any other outfit with their volume, and huge selection, and great prices to find a better outlet for our profession. You won't find one.
