What you can probably get away with and what you're legally entitled to do are two different things. Get the model release if you can. Cross your fingers and hope for the best if you can't.

I'm serious. Get model releases from your wife, brother-in-law, kids, neighbors, friends, strangers, everybody. And have the model sign the release before you take the pictures, or at least don't let them look at the photos before you ask them to sign.

No model release here. Kind of a cool picture though.
