Re: FZ50 images of Isle of Wight, love the camera but....

I agree fully that in real terms the FZ50 is locked onto ISO 100. But until another camera can pick up as quick I'd miss the bulk of the shots I seek. In these past years several cameras now take as good a shot as the FZ50; and better. But a shot too late is no shot at all. It is, after all, what has kept me away from the DSLR for so long.

Camera bag to 420mm shot in short order seconds is an FZ50 speciality. Following that shot with a 35mm one, another short order of seconds later, is also an FZ50 speciality. Once used to this freedom there really is no going back; it seems.

DSLR short lens and cropping is the future of my photography. But I will miss the fact that the FZ50 could achieve the results OOC.

To this day I liken the FZ50 to Concorde. Outdated, but never bettered.

The FZ50: DSLR handling of a bright Leica 35-420mm lens that's this good: http://www.flickr.com/groups/panasonicfz50/pool/ (slideshow always good). And now add the LX2: http://www.flickr.com/groups/lx2/pool/
