Q Shutter Question

I understand that the Q's 01 prime lens has a built in leaf type shutter and the camera also has electronic shutter for when using a lens that has no lens shutter. The Feb 8th announcement of the Pentax K to Q Adapter said it would have a built in shutter unit, other adapters don't appear to include shutters. Pardon my ignorance, but could someone please explain what are the advantages of a lens (or adapter) shutter rather then an electronic shutter? I know Sync speed for flash is one consideration, but that would not be a major concern for me. Thanks. Geoff.
