I thought I finally bought the ideal camera. Small, light and with great IQ.
I rushed to sell my E-30 and all my 4/3 lenses.

To replace my 50-200, I bought the Lumix 100-300. What a mistake. The lens cannot keep up with fast paced air show. Focusing was a disaster when it came to the fast moving airplanes. I want my 50-200/EC14 back.

The following images were shot at CFB Borden, Ontario. The day was very hot. I had to quit early because of the focusing frustration, lack of spare battery, and heat.

The camera/lens should make a great static birding kit, but cannot replace a DSLR.

This isn't even a fair comparison. First, it isn't the camera. Second, the Zuiko 50-200 is both more than twice the price and 1.5x faster than the Lumix G 100-300. You should have kept the Zuiko lens and bought the 4/3-m4/3 adapter to continue using it.
