GF3: a relatively good value vs...
I think it's a good choice and I'm strongly considering buying it especially now that the price has dropped with the GF5 having been released earlier this week.
I initially chose the Oly E-pl3 for it's easier access to controls but I have played with the GF3 enough to know that the controls are easy enough to access even with the camera not having all the external buttons. The touchscreen is quick and responsive and the layout makes it easy to choose the different menu settings. I've also found that for this type of camera I don't need the hotshoe for use of any other external add-ons or accessories.
The only thing I don't like is the poor battery life and the fact that Panasonic camera's block the use of third party batteries.
