Answering BAK & Slowhands

To answer BAK and Slowhands, most clients receive digital images and most of those images are used for the Web. Some editorial magazine usage with delivery of digital images.

My headshot clients receive a digital image that is 300dpi & 3600px on the long edge, in a 5:4 ratio so my D3 is sufficient. However, I am having issues with my D3s with the sensor and processor. (It is currently at Nikon for evaluation).

If I eventually trade in the D3s for a new generation full frame Nikon the MP count will undoubtably be more than I really need. I would downsize a headshot to the dimensions stated above and was wondering if that would have any serious effects on image quality if they print it.

I'm not a gear head. I know that when I have had to upres images for clients there have been some issues, even using the best software (OnOne Perfect Resize 7 Pro). Just curious I guess.
