Shooting the Venus transit tonight?

Anyone else here in the US planning to shoot the only-time-in-our-lifetime planet Venus transit across the sun in T minus 4 hours 20 minutes???

Am curious if those experienced in astrophotography or shooting the sun can suggest the best & safest way to the shoot this rare event. The SUN at 6:03pm here in Florida is still VERY bright! Obviously, it's wise to frame it up & do it quickly. And clearly even using Liveview very brief is a BAD idea.

Other than using a tripod to quickly & accurately move it in frame not sure how to set this up to get some nice shots.
I'm working w/the 7D and 70-200/f4 IS and 1.4X II extender.

Thanks,
Mark
