Well, then you may have the perfect camera then. Normally for you average photography you just have to realize the D800 really isn't going to give you any noticeable advantage over the D700. But when you do print large or require that large DR, it's there to take advantage of. Currently I'm still using a D3x, D3 and D700. Replacing all my bodies with two D800's makes a lot of sense. Especially now that I would be able to lift the D800 with my multirotor for aerial work for which I've had to rely on a NEX5n (very noisy). If someone told me I could replace my D3 and D3x with a $3K body at 36mp, I'd laugh. Reality is stranger than fiction sometimes lol.
