IR Photography - New Perspective of the Old

Love how IR photography can bring a whole different color pallete and put a new perspective on the commonly shot items.

This is a wrecked crane from a ship that shipwrecked on the shores of Palos Verdes (Shipwreck hike). Shot with an IR converted NEX5 with a B&W 091 Pinky Filter. I decided to forgo the faux color swap as I liked this tone more for a steam punkish feel..

Oh, and for my IR's, I just use the standard kit 18-50 lens, if that was an interest.

Sony Alpha NEX-5
