Hat (fedora type) product photo tips/advice

Hi all,

So I've been asked to do some hat (fedora type) product photography for a web site. Nothing super fancy, and the owner of the business knows I'm a novice at this. Trying to figure out light/table set-ups. The following two look kind of interesting- although being a total novice at this type of thing- maybe I'm thinking in the wrong direction. Anyway- I thought I'd post here and see if anyone might have any pointers. Curious about what size lightbox as much as anything. Thanks.

The body Canon- 30 and 7D

Sigma/Canon glass- 50 1.4, 100 Macro, 17-55 2.8 IS, 70-200 IS 2.8, 100-400 IS, and 1.4 EXT.
