I recently dropped my 24-70 and damaged it a bit. I called Sony, and they say it is $440 minimum for repair, no matter what it is. Optically and AF it's fine, but the barrel is slightly indented, so it's doesn't travel from 24-70mm smoothly anymore. Does anyone here know of a cheaper yet reputable repair service/company? Or possible a cheaper way to get my lens looked at/fixed. Sony's repair policy feels quite poor here...
