Thoughts on upgrading from NX10 to NX20

I am a NX10 owner that just upgraded to NX20. Here are my thoughts so far. For now I am only shooting JPEG so write times are not an issue.

• Direct Video Button – Very handy. So far no problem with placement. No accidental videos.

• Wifi – I am finding the Auto PC Back up very useful and simple to use. I wouldn’t use it to transfer over 100 pics, but I have used multiple times to transfer small bunches of family pics.

• Focus Speed – When comparing basic indoor shots to the NX10. No difference. Was hoping to see an improvement.

• General Camera User Interface Speed – NX10 is more responsive. Example - Switching from M to P, much faster on NX10. If you don’t turn fast enough the NX20 forces you to view help screens for each mode. So you have to wait. NX10 no wait. It’s almost like the NX20 has the same internal processer as the NX10.

• SMART Mode Observation – Shot to Shot is way faster on NX10. NX20 has to refocus between shots. This does not happen when using the other modes.

• Sensor – As expected, much better.

• Screen Brightness – Can’t visually see a difference between NX10 and NX20. . I wish the display allowed you to direct the screen outwards (allow the subjects to view themselves) and still allow the shooter to use the EVF.

In summary, worth the upgrade for the sensor and NX200 features, but was hoping for an overall faster operating camera.
