Who's right?

This image I shot just after dawn at the Storms River mouth in South Africa - as we were busy preparing to start hiking the magnificent Otter Hiking Trail.

Wanted to capture the roughness/power of the breaking wave/(s) against a great backdrop of great color.

Although I like the shot, I feel ït "doesn't work" for me fully, because of the cluttered foreground.

My wife on the other hand says it "works " for her because the "busy" foreground in some way works well with the "busy" seas.
YOU be the judge please.
