Hello everybody

I am a little bit confused about the two versions of the 40-150mm for the micro 4/3rds

I have seen pics of both versions and they look quite different but looking at stores which selll it new I see both versions so I am confused about which one is the old and the new

also I think I read somewhere that the new version was better than the first one in terms of build ( because the first one was wobbly) but that image IQ is the same

I suspect you may have seen pictures of the classic 4/3rds 40-150mm mark 2. Until Olympus came out with the micro 4/3rds 40-150mm, they were selling the classic 4/3rds 40-150mm (part of two lens kit starting with the E-410) along with a MMF-2 adapter fairly cheaply.

Here is the classic 4/3rds 40-150mm mark 2 lens:

Here is the micro 4/3rds 40-150mm lens without the R marking:

Olympus doesn't seem to list the classic mark 1 40-150mm. It is larger than the others and has an aperture of f/3.5-4.5 instead of the f/4-5.6 of the other 40-150mm's.
