Also I would not worry about the inability to use lenses without the focusing motors. I would say it was a problem before, but with the introduction of the G lenses I think it takes this out of the question. 50mm 1.8's are around 120 dollars and the newer G version is only 200 dollars. Some wide angles do not have a internal focusing motors, but the Sigma 10-20mm has a built in focusing motor as well as the 10-24mm and 12-24mm nikons.
