True

I use on-board flash all the time to trigger remotely. It is one of the most useful inventions since Swiss knife. especially if you are traveling light. It basically replaces Nikon's SU800 remote transmitter. Sure it can be unreliable in certain situations, but it is there when you know you can use it.

The on-board flash argument is the same as video on a DSLR. Some photographers want it and some don't. Both video and on-board flash is there, if you don't want to use it, you just don't use it.
