It's interesting to read people's responses, which seem highly defensive. Yes, YOU may not need a built flash (I usually don't) but that's not to say it won't be used by some people. It's just another feature on a competing DSLR that the 5DIII is missing, just like the D800 is missing a silent shutter, just like the 5DIII is missing 36mp, just like the D800 is missing 6fps.

Pick the features YOU want and try to avoid telling people about your needs or embarrass yourself by trying to claim one body is pro and the other is not. We've decided to get another D800 to add to our studio system for a longer term experiment.
