Re: Self-timer on NX100 doesn't refocus

To be honest I don't think most people use Self Timer for picture of themselves. They are either taking photos of a group (that they want to be in) or use the self timer instead of a remote cable release when the camera is on a tripod and they want a long exposure.

If the camera will focus on the chair why not do this.

1. Before setting off the shutter, work out approximately how far in front of the chair your face will be.

2. Get off the chair and press the shutter in delayed release mode (note you can set this anything between 2 and 30 seconds)

3. Go back to the chair and reposition it yourself in the chair back the distance you measured in step 1.

Alternatively - as you have an NX100. Use a remote cable release (only a few £/$) on ebay (I know ones for Pentax DSLRs work on the NX100)

Another method is to use Manual Focus and ensure it's going to focus at a distance/point where your face will be. That way it won't refocus to the wrong point when you press the shutter button.
