Call me old fashioned, but I still greatly prefer good old auto-thyristor and the use of radio triggers for remote flash. You just don't need to think about as many potential pratfalls that way. These days, I am moving away from flash and relying on existing light, or bringing continuous lighting when convenient. It makes a lot of sense as the sensors keep getting better.
