Canon Australia Melbourne service centre
Recently my 16-35L (ver 2) played up few times and started making a noise during the zoom function. specially at the 16mm end. now it is quite time in photography I decided to get it fixed. took it to Canon service center in Clayton and explained the lady at the service desk about the noise in the zooming ring. she noticed something wrong with mount of the front element. she took the lens and showed to a technician and he apparently fixed the loose mount in few seconds by pushing it in to the right place.
no charge and the zoom noise is gone. I was very happy and took it home and found out now, I have one of the sharpest 16-35L II at f 2.8. Canon service was awesome at Clayton and this the third time visited them and been very happy every time.
