Lens selection advice, for night photography.

I'm after some advice on lens selection.
After upgrading from an LX3, to E-M5, I have the 14-42 and 45 lens.

I used to take photos like this:

With the LX3. Approx 12mm, 60 seconds for the stationary shots.
Harbor shot taken through a poor quality perspex window, art 160kts.

With the current lenses:

  • 14-42 - Aperture to small, produces unsatisfactory results.

  • 45mm - Focal length too long, giving small field of views and star trails.

Ignoring the artistic merits of the photos, its just something I just enjoyed doing, I'm after some advise / suggestions on lens selections to achieve something similar with the E-M5.
I was considering:

  • 7-14, which I'm getting anyway, however I'm concerned f4 minimum won't be bright enough for this role?

  • 14-54 - still unsure on this

  • 12mm, a bit expensive when I would only ever use it for this.

Any other suggestions / ideas? A legacy MF lens perhaps? Anybody do anything similar?

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3
