Re: X100 in Mexico (new owner)

Hi Joe, thanks a lot,

I almost always process my images the same way with LR, but never as a batch, always one by one as every picture has a different feeling.

First I crop if needed to enhance the subject then:
- Recovery +50
- Fill light +20
- Blacks +15
- Contrast +50
- Presence: Clarity +40
- Sharpening : +40 with 80% masking
- Vigneting: -25 and -10 for midpoint

For BW, I would convert, apply the same settings and play with the tone curves to enhance contrast between whites and blacks.

About living in Mexico. Well if you accept the institutional chaos and living one day at a time suits you, it’s a beautiful country to live in. About danger and violence…as long as you’re not a drug dealer, consumer or going where those people use to be, everything is on the same level as any other modern country in the world. You have to be careful but no more than in Paris or Moscow past 1o o’clock in the evening…
Anyway, thanks for the comment and keep playing with the light!
