Windows 7 upgrade question

Thanks for the detailed steps, that looks very manageable. I will probably order the hard drive tonight after work to start this process.

I am a little confused on running disk cleanup though to delete the old OS files. If I understand your instructions correctly, I am removing the old hard drive first, putting in the new one, and then installing the upgrade onto the new hard drive, then 'installing' it again. What would be the old files that need to be cleaned up?
