High ISO Comparison: NX200, D7000, NEX 3

I did a high ISO comparison of my NX200, D7000, NEX 3.

They all look very close (less than 1/2 stop difference between any of them) and I don't think I would buy one over the other based on image mottling (noise). Be sure to scroll to the right to see images from all 3 cameras. On my wide screen monitor I can fit all 3 on the screen (but this is about 1800 pixels).

I only compared 1600 and 3200 in my test as I wouldn't realistically use 6400, and I think Samsung adds noise reduction at that level anyway. I think most of these 3 cameras do not apply noise reduction to the RAW data at 1600 or 3200.

Bottom line is if there is any improvement in the NX200 ISO performance with the 210, 20, or 1000, it will be up there with the best. My guess is they will be the same, but hopefully they improved the JPEG performance at high ISO (that is where there was a big difference between NX200 and some of the others). This test is for RAW files processed in LR 4.0.
