I am not sure if you are reffering to my photo or mais51's in the above post.

Anyway, FWIW, here is another one from a different time, January 2012. Taken with the same D300 and Sigma 300-800mm but with the Sigma x2 converter fitted as well. The lens focal length setting was about 650mm but that eaqutes to around 1950mm considering the converter and crop factor. I was quite impressed with the quality of the Sigma x2 converter.

I have had a look at your photos and you are showing the moon in a totally different aspect, more of an artistic portrayal. I find that quite refreshing to see. As they are more artistic they will produce a different set of responses than the more "technical" shot, and will create different feelings in the "eye" of different viewers. Thanks for sharing your photos.
