Well, manual white balance can be more precise, I don't like automation as a whole. I was shooting manual with my old entry-level dSLR 2 years ago & I will shoot manual with this 60D. My friend got used to these colors, so he's not seeing it as a problem, he thinks that these colors are okay. My guess is that when a person gets used to something, he'll see the difference only with a different camera.

I'm betting if you set the camera to auto white balance, your pictures will come out looking better.
