1.8g or 1.4g Nikkor 50mm for D800

How about the Sigma 50 1.4? Faster AF and sharper than the Nikon 50 1.4 in the center (portraits) at wide apertures. Sigma is soft on FX at the edges/corner, but I think that's OK for portraits.

Nikon 1.8G seems very good also (fairly sharp across the frame, faster AF), but you'll have to judge for yourself whether you need the 1.4. Let me know if you need links to reviews comparing the different 50's.
