G1X another outdoor walk
An overcast but comfortable noon-hour sent me on another noon-hour walk. This time I mounted a Canon 250d close-up lens on the camera via the Lensmate adapter and then fastened the Nikon 5t close-up lens to the 250d.
Conditions were not optimal since there was a definite and sometimes rather vigorous breeze to keep things moving. Still, I got a few shots and think this combination of lenses and adapters is useful. I also made occasional use of the digital teleconverter and think it is a useful tool for close-up photography.
The lens combination did make the camera a bit front-heavy but not objectionably so. The Lensmate adapter works very well. It's quality and fit are both very good, yet if I wish to quickly remove the adapter to grab a shot that presents itself--like this curious, yet cautious ground hog--I can do that.
