I agree that Nikon has it right and Sony has it wrong.

Sony sells a line of expensive full frame lenses, but does has not had a full frame camera in production for almost a year now! There are probably still some Sony a900's (circa 2008), gathering dust on shelves somewhere, but four years after it's introduction there are still only rumors of a FF camera from Sony. How dumb is that?

Sony has botched their Alpha line of cameras so badly that I doubt they will survive long term and will eventually abandon the old Minolta Alpha mount in favor of their NEX cameras (which are still crippled with CDAF only focusing). Any photographer that is interested in a full frame camera system and/or optical viewfinder would be foolish to stay with Sony at this point.
