Kit lens replacement

I'm looking for a lens upgrade and your advices would be greatly appreciated.

I actually have the kit lens 18-105mm and the 50mm f/1.4. I'd like to upgrade the kit lens to something better. The new lens will be me walk-around lens that allows me to shoot from macro go landscape, people to object, indoor and outdoor.

The Nikkor 24-70mm f2.8 would be the perfect choice; however it's too expensive and too heavy. I'm looking for something similar to that lens, but cheaper. It would be nice if it comes with a better macro capability than the kit lens.

My criteria of selection, in order:
1. Price
2. Quality of image
3. Zoom flexibility
4. Macro

I'm now considering:

1. The Nikkor 24-85mm f/2.8-4: good range, Nikkor, macro capability.
2. Sigma 17-70 mm f2.8-4: relatively inexpensive, macro capability, stabilizer
3. Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8: great constant aperture, relatively inexpensive

Is there any other good lens out there ? Could you please recommend me a good lens. I'll probably buy a used lens in the range of $300-$500.

Thank you.
