doubling equivalent to 1200mm on EM5 (75-300 micro lens)-pics

Low light and at the risk of boring some more native hen pics , these are "wild" birds of Tasmania that have taken to coming to our door to get a few extra feeds each day since they realised we put food out each night for the wallabies and possums figured they should get equal treatment

First one with the lens at normal 300mm setting (equivalent to 600mm on 35mm film)
all handheld so it says something about IBIS 1/250th at f6.7 3200 ISO

With constantly moving subjects like this at close range (less than 3 metres) there is no room for error it is either in or out of focus the DOF is minimal

at the risk of boring , more native hen pics (at least it is not ducks or cats !) Forum joke!

and this one at 300 mm plus doubler active giving equivalent to 1200mm lens handheld chasing moving subjects at close range 15 of the 22 pics were usable , i.e. in focus, framed well enough and not blurred from movement, mine or theirs
pretty impressive for a little toy

Did I say I may keep this one yet? 4000 ISO 1/320th at f6.7
larger versions on flickr along with other test pics posted today

so much for too much DOF with small sensors -I wish LOL

regards from Tasmania the home of Native Hens
