Re: Space Shuttle Enterprise NYC flyby

A few pics:

Flying south over upper Manhattan.

Flying past the Empire State building with the MetLife Stadium (World Champion Giants and NY Jets) and Izod Arena (formally home of the NJ Devils and Nets) in the foreground.

A 120% crop stretching those 6.1 MP a little too far! That's a F-16 flying behind it for protection (95% sure after reviewing all the photos). I never did notice the fighter plane when I was shooting, only noticed it after on the computer. There also was a helicoper flying about (probably filming the shuttle).

Here approaching the Freedom Tower that was 3 days away from becoming the tallest building in New York City.

The last northern past had the shuttle flying a little more west this time so a bit closer to me. The F-16 is at the top. The 747 then made a right turn east to land at Kennedy Airport.

A shot taken with my E-500 and 14-42mm of the Kodak on the edge of the cliff.

Thanks for looking.

'When nothing seems to help, I go and look at a stonecutter hammering away at
his rock perhaps a hundred times without as much as a crack showing in it.
Yet at the hundred and first blow it will split in two,
and I know it was not that blow that did it,
but all that had gone before.'
